I hope this is here for a long time, one can only hope I'm really doubting it though with the hordes of people that move here every day
keep fighting for the Wild! Thank you!
I was wondering, do fiddler crabs still come out on the edge of the bay...?
Good talk, for the most part. When it's Only uplifting tho, it keeps the audience sure but... then they won't realize how "on fire" most everything is. My eco-grief experiences altho super sad knowing how screwed at the moment my most beloved rivers & springs are-- I'm beyond grateful for having felt the grey areas & highs and lows alike (i e. Swimming in algae laden springs thay majorly feed rivers) But as my brother recently told "feed/ entice them with honey not vinegar" was about another issue but same premise. Our lands, wildlife, waterways, Etc. Could be So Nice & Pristine. If properly protected. See it as half glass full instead of half empty but still allow sadness, anger, grief-- they are natural, normal & warranted for the Human experience
My favorite Florida poem!
Love the poem. Marshal T. Justice
@hilaryswain thank you for the inspiration. I watched this video a couple of months ago and when I heard you say "the good we can do together surpasses the good we can do alone" it really struck a cord with me. I was at a big crossroads in my life and career. I decided to follow that inspiration and instead of taking the job I'd been offered in Finance, I decided to apply for a bunch of jobs in Land Conservation in Florida. After a few twists and turns I got a job with the Department of Environmental Protection as a Park Ranger. I'm now on track to share my skills, knowledge, passion and enthusiasm with organizations, people and projects that protect and conserve land and wildlife in Florida. I'm excited! Thank you for being an incredible role model and showing me what is possible. I hope our paths cross one day soon.
thank you for writing such a lovely note. I am excited about your next steps -- good luck!
Awesome! Thank you! Looking forward to next year ☺️

Can't wait to see this. Wish we could have a viewing at the Florida Springs Institute environmental center!
Debemos hacer algo por preserver nuestro medio ambiente, no importa si sea minimo o grande nuestra accion. Como padre le enseño a mis hijos a amar y respertar la naturaleza. espero ver pronto el documental. Congratulation guys.
Only native Floridians know what once existed...so sad to see the destruction occurring....So depressing yet inspired by great people and films!! Maybe there is hope
This is extremely important right now, if we don't act now we are going to lose the few connections we have left to overdevelopment
I found the film on the PBS channel on my AppleTV. This film makes me very proud to live in this rich state. Thank you very much!
The land was only loaned to us to care for all that is upon it. We are keepers of it for the next generation! how are we doing? We need to do much better. Thank you for this great channel. I love Fl and live in Lakeland.
Amen !....this should be a number one priority for the state before it is too late!
Thanks for help keeping Florida natural. It is such a beautiful delicate state. Walk softly.
Does any one know the name of the song at the end. I loved this I've watched it 3 times. But I forget to write the lyrics to get it. And I never have the app on my tablet ready. So I missed it again. Thanks. I still feel more ppl should watch this documentary I've shared it so much on Facebook. But most ppl don't listen theyd rather share what they ate or dumb pics of their feet on the beach. Sad. Really
Awesome!
Glad these hearty souls took this journey for all of our behalf! Their journey and facts make realistic fiction, like "A Land Remembered" by Patrick Smith, come alive!
im dying to watch it myself , no streaming or downloading available, would pay if was on amazin ,youtube ,ext.....
Where can we find the full documentary? Thanks! Wonderful work you guys are doing!
I taped on WUSF Back in December Great documentary. Worth the hour if you can find it.
I appreciate the beaches here in Florida. But there is a part of my heart that goes out to the hard working cowmen of Florida's swamps and woods. I appreciate what y'all do. Thank you.
Not sure if anyone monitors these older video but I'm very curious where y'all jumped over from the Wilderness Waterway into the Everglades proper. From the map it looks like you headed up Shark Slough so maybe you crossed through the mangroves around Camp Lonesome? Thanks for any info.
what an awesome idea!!!
I have not visited the wildlife corridor yet but I do kayak various parts of the Hillsborough river in Tampa a couple times a week picking up litter and doing wildlife photography. We have an amazing diversity of wildlife here and it is pure joy for me to see and experience it.
